Changhong Fu received his Ph.D. degree in Robotics and Automation from the Computer Vision and Aerial Robotics (CVAR) Laboratory, Technical University of Madrid, Spain. During his doctoral studies, he conducted research visits at Arizona State University (USA) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). After graduation, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Tongji University, leading multiple high-level research projects and industrial applications. His research centers on embodied intelligence, visual perception, motion control, and unmanned systems, with a distinctive focus on deploying advanced AI algorithms on edge AI chips for real‑world robotic systems. He dedicates to bridging the gap between cutting‑edge academic research and practical industrial deployment, aiming to create significant economic benefits and social value through reliable, efficient, and scalable robotic intelligence. He has published over 100 high-quality papers in top-tier journals and conferences, including IEEE GRS Magazine, AI Review, IEEE T-PAMI, IEEE T-II, IEEE T-ITS, IEEE T-MC, IEEE T-GRS, IEEE T-CSVT, IEEE T-MM, IEEE T-MECH, IEEE T-IE, IEEE RA-L, CVPR, NeurIPS, ICCV, ICRA, IROS, etc. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Toshio Fukuda Best Paper Award in Mechatronics, Best Paper in AI in Robotics Award, CIIF Innovation Award, etc. He has also been consecutively recognized as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University.
