Changhong Fu received the Ph.D. degree in robotics and automation from the Computer Vision and Aerial Robotics (CVAR) Laboratory, Technical University of Madrid, Madrid, Spain. During his Ph.D., he held two research positions at Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ, USA, and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. After receiving his Ph.D., he worked at NTU as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Mechanical Engineering, Tongji University, Shanghai, China, and leading more than five projects related to the vision for unmanned systems (US). In addition, he has published more than 100 journal and conference papers (including the IEEE TPAMI, IEEE GRS Magazine, IEEE TII, AIR, IEEE TITS, IEEE TMC, IEEE TGRS, IEEE TCSVT, IEEE TMM, IEEE TMECH, IEEE TIE, IEEE RA Letters, CVPR, ICCV, ICRA, IROS) related to the intelligent vision and control for UAV. He is selected as the World’s Top 2% Scientist and his research areas are intelligent vision and control for US in a complex environment.
